a borrowed poem to ponder

On a summer morning
I sat down
on a hillside
to think about God—
a worthy pastime.
Near me, I saw
a single cricket;
it was moving the grains of
the hillside
this way and that way.
How great was its energy,
how humble its effort.
Let us hope
it will always be like this,
each of us going on
in our inexplicable ways
building the universe.

I love this poem! Puts some of what I have been pondering (my little place in this big, big universe, meaning of it all, so on) in perspective. Hope your Easter was as great as ours--I wish we could be in two places at once some times because although loving where we were, we hated missing seeing all of you!

Sue, your family was deeply missed yesterday. But how nice that you were able to celebrate with the Taylors after so many years!
