PS. I snowed in Silver Spring this morning. :D But only for a short while... tomorrow though... it might snow two to three inches!! This is what happens when I take my snow boots home over Thanksgiving break because as I told Jared, "It never snows until the spring semester. It never snows in December." My poor feet will be so cold tomorrow. :(
Wait! newsflash of this morning: accumulations of 1 to 2 inches! Oh, if only it is true! Let it snow, let it snow let it snow! Faces eagerly pressed to the window to see the 3 snowflakes falling before we miss them...yesterday I made myself cocoa and sat and watched the flakes until they were gone...so pretty...well, maybe today...
Suzanne! You're a poet! Wow! And wasn't this a beautiful treat? I would love to see this on Christmas some time. I do not ever remember participating in an actual white Christmas. But everything seems so much more real and heightened with the snow--the lights, the tree, the music...now if everyone will be safe driving AND at the malls and respective places of business from sad, sinful, sick people...let us pray for our Omaha brethren...such a fallen world...may the Light who comes at Christmas shine from us.
I'm a 46 year old mother who homeschools one, watches another homeschool herself and sends a third off to the dear little school on the other side of town. I'm a mom trying to come to terms that two of my offspring will be leaving this home and heading out sooner than I can grasp in my heart. I'm a mom who is trying to transition to that fact by slowly letting out the apron strings that bind them to me.

Snow falling lightly
White blankets the chilled river,
Grayness reaching ground to sky:-)
